The fortunate departure out of the spiral of perception and reflexion, into which spectators of Elisabeth Grübl’s constructions of experimental arrangements are drawn, is definitely a successful outcome. Her complex, electronic arrangements are based on clear concepts. The sound sculptures and installations, interventions in public spaces, videos, and photos act as some kind of “traps of perception,” which alienate and deconstruct the space around us, to allow insight into the rules and processes of its construction and (re-)construction.

Her deconstructivist interventions taking place the studios of other artists are documented in her new book. She ultimately but delightfully succeeds in transforming the realization of the tentativeness of our habitual spatial orientation into her flawless spatial sculptures.
